Well, these cyber meetings really are diminishing; readying for real contact soon.
Can't believe I've been in New Zealand for 10 weeks. There's still so much to see and do. It would seem however that i have in fact seen and done a multitude of wonderous things, most recently building sculptures in the most incredible garden i've ever seen. Working with artist Josie Martin in her huge Akaroan house of fun and frivolity. I've been sleeping in a double bed boat sumptuously topped with feather duvets and bowers. Eating fresh quinces for breakfast and wowing at the colours and textures of the outside world created with a vibrancy using the power of nature and thousands of broken tiles. Have been learning the art of sculpting the human form, layering concrete onto metal and wire, guided in the art of aligning such newly formed solidities as shoulders, breasts and the like. Harder than you may imagine without a few decades of sculpture behind you! Concrete not a girls best friend when it comes to the delicate soft hands (the ones i never had anyway). what do they put in that stuff? My hands have peeled off completely. Is it lime? Where's the mild green fairy when you need it?
Looking forward to a week in Malaysia on my way home.
And then some decent marmite of course!
Windows Live Messenger just got better. Find out more!
