Backstreet snack frying at 34 degrees...definately not the job for me. Tasting maybe. ALL the snack foods are fried and ALL are delicious.
Pineapple market where all small growers take their juicy fruit so the man from Del Monte can categorise for juice, canning, selling, exporting. God pineapples are incredible out here.
vanilla producing areas. Vanilla is blanched then put in warm beds for a bit then dried in the sun over a few days. This picture was taken from their visitors book. Think that could be a cool job. Nice to know they use natural flavours in condom production eh?!
Went to see coir mats being hand woven on huge victorian style looms. Three quid for one and a half days hard labour. Jesus. We were warmly greeted and met with giggles and warm hearts. The Keralan people are made of smiles.
